Die Installation «Transience » beschäftigt sich mit der Flüchtigkeit des Lebens. Durch die Verwendung eines sehr leichten und halb-durchsichtigen Stoffes entsteht eine subtile Form der Kommunikation zwischen dem Kunstwerk und seiner Umwelt: dem Raum, der Luftbewegung und dem Licht.
Die Objekte sind mit linearen Formen markiert, die sich auf die organische Welt beziehen. Sie sind abstrakte Verweise auf pflanzliche Formen und Zellgebilde sowie auf die inneren Organe des menschlichen Körpers. Ein Paradox entsteht: die konkrete physische Welt und der flüchtige Charakter ihrer Darstellung. Diese erweckt in uns ein Gefühl für das zerbrechliche und Vergängliche, aber auch das Immaterielle im Leben.
Diese Installation besteht aus 16 aufgehängten Objekten. Ihr Material: Seidenchiffon, Seidentinte, Holz, Draht. Die Größe ist abhängig vom zur Verfügung stehenden Platz, jedes Objekt 270x90 cm.
The installation «Transience » is concerned with the ephemeral. By using a very light and semi transparent material the work interacts in a subtle way with its environment: the architectural space, the movement of air and the light.
The hangings are marked with linear shapes and forms which refer to the organic world. They are abstracted references to both plant and cell forms and to the inner organs and systems of the human body. This has something paradoxical: the substantial organic world and the ephemeral nature of its representation. It suggests the fragile, intangible and transient nature of life.
This installation consists of 16 hangings. The Material: Silk chiffon, silk ink, wood, wire. Dimensions: Dependant on space, each object 270x90 cm.
