swimming with medusa 1

silver wire, fishing line, crocheted, lamps

The graceful, delicate nature of jellyfish and the underwater world in which they live appeals directly to my interest in the intangible, in worlds hidden from view, transient, mutable spaces and phenomena. Through forms found in the sea and the use of materials that allow for subtlety and in part reference human intervention in the oceans, I tried to create a space in which shadow, light and form can playfully coexist.
